Sharon Cuneta jests with Marcos about 2022: Mali your choice, no?

Megastar Sharon Cuneta on Thursday night ribbed President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. about his choice of running mate in Eleksyon 2022.

At the event dubbed "An Evening with the Stars: A Gala Celebrating the Stars Who Continue to Light Our Way," Cuneta engaged the President and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos with friendly banter while on stage before singing their request.

"Sir, I have only one vice president... My date tonight. Mali your choice, 'no?" Cuneta said, drawing laughter from the audience at the Foro de Intramuros in Manila.

(You made the wrong choice, didn't you?)

"Okay, okay. Let's move on," she added.

"Basta, Mr. President, you have my support," Cuneta said.

Cuneta went to Malacañang with her husband, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, who ran for vice president as the running mate of then-Vice President Leni Robredo in the 2022 presidential elections.

Marcos and his running mate, Vice President Sara Duterte, both won the elections but have since gone their separate ways politically. –NB, GMA Integrated News
