Adrian Bersamin has video affidavit of Marcos alleged links to flood scandal

Aside from a written affidavit, former Presidential Legislative Liaison Office chief Adrian Bersamin also recorded a video affidavit of information allegedly linking President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to flood control anomalies.

According to a "24 Oras" report by Jonathan Andal, ACT Teachers Party-list Representative Antonio Tinio said Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste has the video.

"Pumunta sa bahay niya si Usec. Adrian Bersamin para buuin yung affidavit containing this information bilang proteksyon sa sarili nya, dahil kung ididiin sya na involved sa kickbacks and corruption ay ipapakita nya na utos ito ng pangulo, Tinio said.

"Kwento na iyan ni Leandro dahil sa bahay niya ginawa, Everything I'm telling you is, of course, hearsay dahil wala naman ako roon," he added.

(Usec. Bersamin went to his house to complete the affidavit containing this information for his protection. If he were linked to the kickbacks and corruption, he would show that the orders came from the President.  That's Leandro's narrative because the video was recorded in his home.  Everything I'm telling you is, of course, hearsay, because I was not there.)

Tinio, one of the endorsers of the second impeachment complaint against Marcos that was dismissed by the House committee, said Leviste showed him CCTV footage of Bersamin coming in and out if his house.

GMA Integrated News is trying to get the side of Leviste and Bersamin.

On Thursday, Leviste said he would not issue a statement, but said the public should listen to what Tinio and Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice would say.

Both Tinio and Erice had said Leviste showed them text exchanges between the president and Bersamin on flood control kickbacks.

Leviste also earlier said that Taal, Batangas Mayor Nene Bainto has copy of the so-called Bersamin files.

GMA Integrated News is trying to get a confirmation from Bainto.

Tinio said the Bersamin files were not included in their impeachment complaint because Leviste was uncertain about making it public out of concern for Bersamin.

"According to him it was better for Bersamin to reveal the matter, instead of him doing it," he said.

Tinio urged the Ombudsman to include Bersamin in its investigation to get to the bottom of the matter.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Undersecretary Claire Castro debunked the allegations linking Marcos to corruption.

She said the President is focused on the economy.

"Anumang paninira na walang basehan ay hindi dapat nagamit o magamit sa armas para pahinanin ang tiwala ng taumbayan sa ating gobyerno," she said.

"Nakita niyo na ba iyong communication? Papaano po naman natin na mabibigyan ng matalinoing kasagutan kung wala naman po tayong nakikita," she added.

(Moves to besmirch the president without basis should not be used as a weapon to weaken the trust of the people in the government.  Has anyone seen the communication? How can we give an intelligent to response to something we have not seen.) —LDF, GMA Integrated News
