ANOMALOUS FLOOD CONTROL PROJECTS: DPWH submits high profile names to Ombudsman
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Monday said it has submitted more names of high profile individuals to the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with alleged anomalous flood control projects in Bulacan and Davao Occidental.
At a press conference, Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said the Ombudsman is set to make an announcement on the matter this week.
“May mga sinubmit kami mga bagong manifestations two weeks ago. May mga dalawa kaming bagong minanifest sa Ombudsman,” Dizon said.
(We submitted new manifestations two weeks ago. We have two new manifestations to the Ombudsman.)
“Ayoko lang pangunahan kasi ang usapan namin ng Ombudsman, sila ang mag-a-announce. Pero meron kami mga dinagdag. May high profile individuals. I think Bulacan and Davao Occidental,” he added.
(I just don’t want to pre-empt as we discussed with the Ombudsman that its office will be the one to announce. But we have some additions. There are high profile individuals. I think in Bulacan and Davao Occidental cases.)
Aside from this, Dizon said the DPWH is also planning to submit another manifestation to the Ombudsman this week in connection with the case in Cebu.
