Police launch search for missing widow of slain barangay chair in Angeles City
Authorities are searching for the widow of the late barangay captain of Barangay Balibago after she was reported missing.
According to a report aired Monday on Unang Hirit’s “Unang Balita,” a scream was captured on CCTV footage taken at the residence of Maria Teresa Mamac at around 7:30 p.m. on February 12.
The family’s driver also reportedly went missing at about the same time.
A police report indicated that Mamac was last seen shortly before 9 p.m. that evening. She was on board a white vehicle and was supposedly heading to Mabalacat.
The vehicle was later found abandoned at a plaza in Magalang.
When authorities inspected Mamac’s home, they discovered bloodstains on a washing machine, a wall, a wheelbarrow, and a faucet, raising concerns of possible foul play.
Carmelo Lazatin Jr., representative of Pampanga’s 1st District, has offered a ₱200,000 reward for information leading to Mamac’s whereabouts.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/MCG, GMA Integrated News
