PRC releases exam results for mechanical engineers, certified plant mechanics
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday released the results of three licensure examinations in the mechanical engineering field.
In separate statements, the PRC said that 3,264 out of 6,294 passed the mechanical engineers licensure examination; 100 out of 120 passed the certified plant mechanics computer-based licensure examination; and 231 passed the technical evaluation for upgrading to professional mechanical engineers.
All the exams were held earlier this month. The first two were given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering at test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Puerto Princesa. The third was given by the board at test centers in Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Lucena and Qatar.
Jose Arnil Colina Corong Jr. of Visayas State University-Baybay was the highest scorer in the mechanical engineers licensure exam with a 93.25% result, while the top performing school with 50 or more examinees is University of the Philippines Diliman, with all 64 of its test takers passing.

Chryss Adamme Traspe Hallegado of Mindanao State University - General Santos City achieved the top score in the certified plant mechanics computer-based licensure exam with 87.65%, while the top performing school with at least 10 examinees is the Technological University of the Philippines Manila, with 11 of its 12 test takers passing.
