DILG tracing Duterte 'co-perpetrators' in ICC case

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is tracing the alleged co-perpetrators of former President Rodrigo Duterte in his crimes against humanity case before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in relation to his war on drugs.

At a press conference, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said that although names of alleged co-perpetrators have been released, no arrest warrants against them have been issued so far.

"We are all aware na mayroon nang pinangalanan na co-conspirator. But wala pang warrant of arrest so wala kaming actionable document," Remulla said.

"However, we are tracing the people already, kung nasaan sila, those named, except for one na namatay na. We are already tracing them kung nasaan sila para in the event na kailangan, mas handa na kami kung anong gagawin namin," he added.

According to Remulla, two of Duterte's alleged co-perpetrators are believed to be in the United States.

"We are getting all the records. We should have them by this week. I think two are abroad. Dalawa nasa Amerika. I'll get you the full details next week," he added.
