Pacquiao plans multiple complaints vs. arrested vlogger Francis Leo Marcos
Former senator and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao said Friday he is preparing to file multiple complaints against arrested vlogger Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos.
Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Pacquiao accused the vlogger of spreading false information and deceiving the public.
"May mga kaso akong isasampa sa kanya, hindi lang isa, but marami. Naka-prepare na lahat 'yun, pati 'yung mga ebidensya… Hindi ko pa nga na-meet itong taong ito. Gusto ko makita siya personally," Pacquiao said.
(I have cases to file against him, not just one, but many. It's all prepared, including the evidence... I haven't even met this person. I want to see him personally.)
According to Pacquiao, Mangusin repeatedly cited his name and fabricated stories for personal gain.
"Mahilig siya mag-name dropping and then gumawa ng story na hindi naman totoo. Para lang sa kanyang personal gain. Mahirap 'yun. Marami rin mga tao na naniniwala sa kanya, na napaniwala niya. Pero marami siyang tao na niloko, especially 'yung mga OFW natin," he said.
(He likes to name drop and then make up stories that are not true. Just for his personal gain. That's tricky. There are also many people who believe in him. He duped many people, especially our OFWs.)
Pacquiao did not yet disclose the specific charges he intends to file.
GMA Integrated News is seeking comment from Mangusin's camp regarding Pacquiao's statements.
Mangusin was arrested Tuesday by the Philippine National Police - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) in a hotel in Pasay City in connection with an unjust vexation case.
A bail of P120,000 was recommended.
Authorities also noted Mangusin's alleged involvement in the unauthorized use of police uniform, as well as the reported use of multiple names, passports, and birth certificates.
They likewise flagged the presence of unauthorized security personnel linked to the vlogger.
On Friday morning, Mangusin left Camp Crame in Quezon City for his transfer to Parañaque City jail following a committed order from the court.
“The [Bureau of Jail Management and Penology] confirms that at about 10:20 AM of 27 February 2026, Parañaque City Jail Male Dormitory received into custody Mr. Norman Mangusin,” BJMP spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Bustinera told GMA News Online in a message.
CIDG-National Capital Region chief Police Colonel John Guiagui said their unit filed an opposition for bail against Mangusin with the court, citing the other complaints filed against the vlogger.
“Yung opposition natin kasi marami pang naka-pending na kaso niya. So inaano natin na meron nang mga kasunod kaagad. Nagpa-receive tayo doon sa korte kaso wala naman pa silang response doon,” Guiagui told reporters in an interview.
(Our opposition was in view of the many pending cases against him. So we are expecting more arrest warrants against him. The court has received our opposition for bail but it has not responded yet.) — VDV/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
