LTFRB warns public vs groups misusing names of LTFRB officials
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Wednesday warned the public not to transact with persons or groups who are misusing the names of the agency’s key officials.
The agency issued a public advisory signed by LTFRB chair Vigor Mendoza II and LTFRB board members Isagani Victorio and Greg Pua Jr. amid reports of “illegal money-making” activities by unscrupulous individuals or groups.
The LTFRB advised the public not to deal with persons or groups using the names of Mendoza, Victorio, and Pua for any transaction in the agency.
“We urge the public to immediately report to the LTFRB, through its hotline and social media accounts, if they encounter such an incident,” the advisory read.
Reports of illegal money-making schemes using the names of the LTFRB officials may be reported through the LTFRB’s official Facebook page, through email at pacd@ltfrb.gov.ph and complaints@ltfrb.gov.ph, and Viber at 0956-7610739.
The LTFRB assured that it is committed to apprehend and prosecute “to the full extent of the law any person who should be caught name-dropping” the name of Mendoza and other LTFRB officials “for any ill motive.”
“We likewise encourage the public not to deal with these individuals and groups, rather directly go to our offices or course their transactions through the LTFRB online platforms,” it added. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
