Curlee Discaya brought to hospital due to 'painful shoulder,' says SP Sotto

Curlee Discaya brought to hospital due to 'painful shoulder,' says SP Sotto

Embattled contractor Pacifico "Curlee" Discaya II was brought to a hospital Thursday morning due to concerns about his shoulder, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said.

Sotto, however, said that Discaya had already been returned to his Senate detention facility.

“I was told MRI ‘yung frozen shoulder na masakit. In and out lang,” Sotto told reporters.

(I was told his frozen shoulder had to go for an MRI because it was painful. He was only in and out of the hospital.)

It was Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III who said that Discaya was brought to San Juan De Dios Hospital this morning.

The contractor has been detained at the Senate since September 2025, after being cited in contempt by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee during one of the hearings on the anomalous flood control projects. — Giselle Ombay/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
