Recto, Angara, Estrella tasked as PH caretakers during Marcos’ US trip

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, Education Secretary Sonny Angara, and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will serve as the country’s caretakers while President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is on a work visit to the United States.

The announcement was made by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro on Sunday.

Marcos departed earlier today and is expected to remain in the US until Wednesday, March 11.

Department of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Angelica Escalona said the President’s New York trip will include high-level United Nations meetings. Marcos is set to provide a regional perspective, calling for restraint and respect for international law and the UN Charter amid ongoing conflicts.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
