LRT shifts to 4-day on-site work to save energy
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) has adopted a four-day on-site work arrangement in support of the government’s efforts to conserve energy amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Under the new arrangement, non-frontline services personnel will be working on-site from Mondays to Thursdays.
A work-from-home (WFH) setup will be implemented on Fridays.
“Through this arrangement, we continue to uphold efficiency, sustainability, and reliable service for our commuters,” LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera said in a statement.
The LRT-2 operator assured passengers that train operations and frontline services will continue as normal to ensure its smooth and safe operations.
The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) have yet to announce if they will adjust the work schedule of employees working on the LRT-1 and MRT-3 lines, respectively. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
