Is diplomat replacing Frasco? Palace can’t give details today

Malacañang on Thursday did not provide a concrete answer as to the fate of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco. 

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro was asked if there will be a change of leadership in the Department of Tourism (DOT). 

In response, Castro said there might be an announcement by tomorrow, Friday.

“Malamang bukas ay mayroon po tayong announcement,” Castro said. 

(Maybe tomorrow there would be an announcement.) 

Asked if her response was a confirmation that there would be a change of leadership, she said, “Puwedeng oo, puwedeng hindi. Magbibigay kami ng announcement tomorrow.”

(Maybe yes, maybe no. We will give an announcement tomorrow.) 

GMA News Online has reached Frasco for comment if she resigned from her post and will update this story once her comment is available.
