Northeast Monsoon brings cloudy skies, light rains over Luzon and Visayas

The Northeast Monsoon continues to cause cloudy skies over parts of Luzon and Visayas.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast issued at 4 a.m. on Friday, the Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque.

It will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the rest of Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, strong to gale winds with rough to very rough waters may be felt over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas.

Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas may be felt over the eastern section of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

The rest of Mindanao will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
