Frasco grateful for DOT post, new role as adviser on sustainable communities
Christina Frasco, Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities, on Monday expressed gratitude for her new position and her experience as Department of Tourism (DOT) secretary.
“I am grateful to the President for the trust and confidence in appointing me as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities,” Frasco said in a statement. “It was a privilege to serve as Secretary of Tourism.”
On Thursday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Frasco as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities, tasked with strengthening and ensuring the sustained implementation of priority national initiatives at the community level.
“I look forward to supporting the Administration’s efforts to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of communities across the Philippines,” Frasco said.
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said DOT will temporarily be headed by Undersecretary Verna Buensuceso, who will serve as an officer-in-charge. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
