Ex-Marines agree to one-on-one interviews with NBI
The 18 former Marines who claimed to have delivered millions in cash to former to various public officials have agreed to one-on-one interviews with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), according to their lawyer, Atty. Levito Baligod.
GMA News’ John Consulta’s reported on Tuesday that Baligod and the former Marines returned to the NBI to submit additional evidence for the supposed cash deliveries.
There, Baligod confirmed that the ex-marines agreed to undergo individual interviews.
Last week, the lawyer and the former Marines appeared before the bureau in compliance with the subpoenas issued to them.
They expressed readiness to cooperate and provide information.
However, Baligod denied that they will file individual affidavits. He previously said that a joint affidavit may be made if there is common knowledge.
Meanwhile, National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, House Deputy Minority Leader Leila de Lima of the ML party-list, Fr. Flavie Villanueva, and Corrections Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. have filed complaints against the marines and others over the allegations. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
