Marcos swears in Frasco as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities
President Ferdinand Marcos on Wednesday swore in former Tourism Secretary Ma. Esperanza Christina Garcia-Frasco as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities (SRC) at Malacanang.
With Frasco at the helm of the SRC, Marcos said he hopes the office will foster greater collaboration with local government units.
He highlighted that Frasco's background in promoting sustainable local development, strengthening climate resilience, and implementing national programs at the local level would be key to her successful stint in the new office.
Frasco was Tourism Secretary from 2022 to 2026. Before this, she served as mayor of the Municipality of Liloan from 2016 to 2022.
She was also a professor at the University of San Carlos School of Law from 2008 to 2016, and as a senior associate at Romulo Law Offices from 2007 to 2016.
Frasco earned her Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Management, Major in Legal Management, from Ateneo de Manila University.
She passed the Philippine Bar examination in 2007. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
