The United States Embassy in the Philippines advised American citizens to stay alert and make necessary adjustments to their schedules ahead of the scheduled nationwide transport strike on March 26 and 27, 2026.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the embassy said its operations will remain open on the said dates.

However, it advised citizens and other individuals with appointments to plan ahead due to possible disruptions and delays.

The embassy added the protests could cause traffic congestion in its vicinity and heavy police presence in areas where the demonstrations are to be held.

“The U.S. Embassy remains open and will continue to provide all public services, including American Citizen Services and visa appointments, during the strike. U.S. citizens with appointments at the Embassy should plan for additional travel time and consider alternative transportation options,” the advisory read. —Jiselle Anne C.
