Senior citizen who won 6/58 jackpot waited 8 days before claiming P100M prize

A senior citizen from Cebu City won the P100,331,631.91 jackpot prize in the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw last March 17.

In a statement, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winner correctly guessed the right combination of 29-52-49-55-25-09.

The senior citizen personally claimed the jackpot prize at the PCSO main office on March 25.

He said he waited for eight days before claiming the prize because he needed time to fully process the magnitude of his win and carefully consider his next steps.

“Matagal na po akong tumataya sa lotto kaya hindi ko po inakala na darating din ang ganitong pagkakataon,” the lucky bettor said.

(I have been placing lotto bets for a long time and I did not think that this opportunity would come for me.)

The senior citizen said he has been playing the PCSO’s lotto games for the past 25 years.

He added that he recently won a smaller prize in the 4D lotto game before hitting the jackpot prize in the Ultra Lotto 6/58.

The PCSO reminded the public that all winning tickets must be claimed within one year from the date of the draw, otherwise, the prize shall be forfeited in favor of the PCSO Charity Fund.
