Marcos to spend Holy Week in Ilocos Norte

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. said Tuesday that he would be spending the Holy Week in his hometown, Ilocos Norte.

''I will spend a few days in Ilocos Norte and I'll be back on Manila by the weekend,'' Marcos told reporters.

Marcos did not provide details on his activities for the Lenten Season.

In a separate press briefing, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said Marcos would continue his work while spending the Holy Week in Ilocos Norte.

('Vacation' is not in the President's vocabulary. He said he would spend the Holy Week in Ilocos Norte with his family.)

(There will be no vacation because our President continues to monitor and issue orders on what our government agencies need to do.)

In his earlier message, Marcos underscored the values of compassion and service while welcoming the observance of Holy Week. He stood in solidarity with Filipinos taking time to pause and reflect on the Passion of Christ.
