Palace: Half day WFH for gov't workers on Holy Wednesday; afternoon off
Malacañang on Tuesday announced that government employees will observe a half-day work-from-home (WFH) arrangement on April 1, Wednesday, in line with the Holy Week observance.
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said the WFH setup will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Work in government offices will be suspended after noon, she added.
"However, agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations under usual working arrangements and render the necessary services," the Palace said in Memorandum Circular 116.
Castro said that private establishments are free to decide whether or not to implement a work suspension. —MCG/VBL, GMA News
