NLEX reports light traffic on Holy Wednesday amid travelers' exodus

Light vehicular traffic was observed along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Wednesday evening, April 1 amid the exodus of travelers for the Holy Week break.

In a post on its Facebook page, NLEX Corporation reported that as of 6 p.m., the traffic flow along NLEX was light, particularly at the Balintawak Toll Plaza, Mindanao Toll Plaza, Bocaue Toll Plaza, and San Fernando northbound and southbound.

There was a 200 meter vehicle cue at the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) Tarlac Toll Plaza.

“Light traffic in all other areas of NLEX–SCTEX–NLEX Connector including toll plazas and interchanges,” NLEX said.

It added that the leftmost lane of the East Service Road from Ever Memorial Garden to Libtong, Meycauayan is open as a supporting lane for NLEX northbound motorists from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, traffic flow along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) was moderate to heavy.

In posts on its X account, SLEX reported that as of 6:08 p.m., vehicular traffic was heavy at the southbound Turbina Exit with a vehicle queue spanning 500 meters.

The Real exit was moderate with a vehicle tail end of approximately 300 metrs.

The Sipit Bridge Area had a vehicle tail end of approximately one kilometer, while the Sto. Tomas Area had heavy vehicular traffic and a queue spanning 2.5 kilometers.

The NAIA Expressway (NAIAx)’s toll plazas and on/off ramps registered light vehicular traffic as of 6:02 p.m. Wednesday.

The Metro Manila Skyway (Skyway)’s traffic flow ranged from light to heavy at various points as of 6:02 p.m.

The northbound portion of the Bicutan Exit logged heavy traffic flow with a vehicle tail end of 1.5 kilometers, while the Magallanes Area had light traffic on Wednesday evening.

As to the Skyway Stage 3, traffic flow at the northbound Del Monte Toll Plaza was heavy with a vehicle queue spanning 500 meters. — JMA, GMA News
