LIST: Payout sites for cash assistance for tricycle drivers outside of NCR

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced the list of payout sites for the release of the P5,000 cash assistance for over 300,000 tricycle drivers outside of Metro Manila. 

The cash assistance, which seeks to help drivers amid the soaring fuel prices, will be released beginning Wednesday, April 8, for those outside of the capital region. 

The DSWD designated nine payout venues for Region 1 (Ilocos Region); 12 sites in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley); 15 in Region 3 (Central Luzon); 12 in Region 4-A (Calabarzon); eight in Region 4-B (Mimaropa); and seven in Region 5 (Bicol).

There are five payout sites in Region 6 (Western Visayas); 16 in Region 7 (Central Visayas); 19 in Negros Island; and seven in Eastern Visayas

Eleven payout venues were in Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula); eight in Northern Mindanao; six in Region 11 (Davao Region); four in Region 12; six in Caraga; and one in Cordillera Administrative Region. 

The DSWD advised the public to follow the official Facebook pages of their field offices for the time of payout and other details. 

In Metro Manila, the DSWD said that nearly 100,000 tricycle drivers already received assistance to cushion the impact of the high fuel prices. 

The cash aid is funded through the DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/AOL, GMA News
