Public warned vs. fake social media page on DSWD cash aid

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) warned the public against unofficial social media pages that use the agency's name and the Social Amelioration Program.

The department said the social media page has an organized layout and has thousands of followers.

"Kapag sinuri ang mga nilalaman, makikitang hindi malinaw ang pinagmulan ng impormasyon at may mga content na ginagamit ang mga kilalang personalidad para sa atensyon," DSWD said.

"Laging tatandaan na hindi ito isa sa mga official pages ng DSWD at walang kaugnayan o pahintulot ang account na ito sa pagpapalaganap ng mga mapanlinlang na mensahe," it added

DSWD said the public may follow the official DSWD Facebook page and its other social media pages for the correct information. —LDF, GMA News
