''Come and exercise with me.''

This was the challenge of President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Monday to those who are assuming that he is severely ill.

As he faced members of the media, Marcos even did a few jumping jacks to show that he was fine, adding that the rumors about his health were pure shenanigans.

''Can you tell – can you tell everyone na kalokohan na ‘yan. Ayan o, this is a…Hindi ito, hindi ito sa tape. It is the – I am carrying my statement for this afternoon, which is what I'm going to make,'' Marcos said.

Marcos said those claiming that he is sick are all liars as he urged the public not to believe them. He stressed that it's very clear that he is in good health condition.

''Kaya mula ngayon, ‘yung mga taong ‘yan na nagsabi sa inyo na may sakit ako, na baldado na ako, ha? Alamin ninyo – ngayon alam ninyo, puro sinungaling ‘yang mga ‘yan,'' Marcos said.

''Kaya't lahat ng sasabihin ng mga ‘yan, kasinungalingan. Kaya't huwag niyo nang paniwalaan kung sino man ‘yung mga ‘yun. Now you know who the liars are and who is telling the truth,'' he added.

The President also shared that he hasn't been to the hospital for three months, saying that his diet and exercise were back to normal.

''I haven't been to the hospital for three months and even then it was just to have a CAT scan because the CAT scan – to tell my doctors if the diverticulitis has completely been fixed. And it was and I'm done,'' Marcos said.

Asked if he is taking any maintenance medicine, Marcos said he is taking tablets for his gout and high blood pressure.

''Maintenance medicine for ano – I have two, one for gout which is Allopurinol. Nasa lahi namin mga Ilokano magka-gout eh and the other is for high blood pressure, for hypertension. Those are the only two medicines that I take,'' Marcos said.

''The others that I take are – no, nothing really. When I have allergies, I take an antihistamine. Pero wala naman ngayon,'' he added.

After his press conference, Marcos demonstrated that he is fit as he ran in the Palace compound with reporters.

Earlier, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Secretary Dave Gomez said the surge of disinformation on social media, particularly about the health of the President was meant to destabilize the government.

Gomez had said the PCO's Anti-Fake News Desk has detected a sudden and coordinated surge in disinformation across social media, noting that even the mainstream media ''have fallen victim to this vicious attack of the trolls.''—LDF, GMA News
