The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has processed more than 3.9 million voter applications for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE) in November—nearly three times its initial target of 1.4 million new voters.

Based on the latest Comelec data, a total of 3,909,634 Filipinos have applied to register so far. Of this number, 2,017,757 are female and 1,891,877 are male.

Region IV-A (Calabarzon) recorded the highest number of applicants with 642,217, followed by Region III (Central Luzon) with 434,920; the National Capital Region (NCR) with 397,540; and Region V (Bicol Region) with 235,596.

A total of 9,163 applicants registered through the Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP) site at the Comelec main office in Intramuros, Manila.

Nationwide voter registration for the 2026 BSKE resumed on October 20, 2025, and will run until May 18, 2026.

Applicants may register from Monday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at any satellite registration site or at their respective Offices of the Election Officer (OEO), according to the poll body.

The registration period covers all types of applications, including:

  • new registration
  • transfer of records
  • change of name or status
  • correction of entries
  • reactivation of registration records
  • inclusion of registration records
  • reinstatement of names in the voters’ list

Comelec earlier said it was targeting 1.4 million new voters for the 2026 BSKE during the months-long registration period.
