ICI turns over luxury vehicles to Ombudsman amid ongoing investigations

The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Tuesday announced that it turned over the luxury vehicles surrendered by former Public Works and Highways engineer Brice Hernandez to the Office of the Ombudsman.

According to the ICI, the vehicles turned over were a black GMC Yukon Denali XL and a navy blue Lamborghini Urus Performante.

It said the vehicles were surrendered by Hernandez to the ICI in September 2025.

“The Commission is hopeful that the turnover of these vehicles will further aid the OMB with its ongoing investigations, and also support its restitution initiatives for the benefit of the Filipino people,” the ICI said in a letter.

In March, the ICI turned over evidence, documents, and records related to its investigation of anomalous flood control projects to the Ombudsman.

The ICI said the turnover of the vehicles is part of this.

The Ombudsman has filed malversation and graft charges against Hernandez, former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., and five others over the alleged P92.8-million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.

Hernandez is currently detained at the New Quezon City Jail. — RSJ, GMA News
