Bongbong cooks homemade dinner for Liza on 33rd wedding anniversary

The First Couple showed the public a quick glimpse of their 33rd wedding anniversary dinner preparations.

In a short video posted on Facebook on Friday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. revealed that his anniversary dinner with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos this 2026 was homemade.

“Anniversary dinner, made the old-fashioned way -- with love,” he wrote.

Marcos mentioned that their menu included roast chicken, vegetable soup, salad, and carbonara.

He also revealed that he was the one making the food with the assistance of a chef.

The video showed the President cutting tomatoes, boiling soup, and personally grinding pepper for their pasta.

“See the difference with regular pepper and toasted? It smells so different. I toasted it first before grinding it up,” he shared.

In a separate post, the First Lady expressed her gratitude to her husband.

“Happy 33rd to the man who doesn't just promise—he delivers… Agriculture may be your thing... but tonight, you made this wife even happier,” Marcos said in her post.

The President and the First Lady married in Italy on April 17, 1993.

Earlier in the day, the First Lady said that the President gave her a bouquet of fresh vegetables “chosen by [the President] himself, straight from the market.” —VBL, GMA News
