FBI offers reward for info on Filipino linked to online group targeting minors

NEW YORK - The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of a Filipino national allegedly involved in an online child exploitation ring targeting minors through gaming and social media platforms.

A $25,000 reward has been offered by the FBI’s Dallas Field Office for information leading to the capture of the wanted suspect, Austin Jan Sy Yatco.

According to the FBI, Yatco is allegedly involved in child exploitation activities that took place at the height of the pandemic from 2019 to 2021.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, New York has issued a federal arrest warrant against Yatco on January 23, 2026 after he was charged with conspiracy to produce child pornography and conspiracy to receive and distribute child pornography.

Yatco is also allegedly linked to a group known as “Greggy’s Cult,” an online network accused of targeting minors and coercing them to produce child sexual abuse materials, commit acts of animal cruelty, sexually exploit their younger siblings, and, in some cases, encouraging victims to attempt suicide.

The FBI is now seeking the public’s help and is urging anyone with information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding Yatco’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the FBI immediately. Tips may be submitted online or through the nearest FBI office, embassy, or consulate.

Based on FBI records, Yatco was born in San Pedro, Laguna, and previously resided in Plano, Texas.

The FBI said Yatco is believed to be residing in the Philippines.

“The FBI continues to prioritize the investigation of predators that threaten the safety of our children. We are committed to apprehending Austin Yatco, bringing justice to his victims, and preventing future abuse. We encourage the public to come forward with any information that could lead to his apprehension,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock in a statement.

Anyone with information about Austin Jan Sy Yatco is urged to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the FBI’s Dallas Field Office at 972-559-5000. Tips can also be submitted online at tips.fbi.gov or through the nearest US Embassy or Consulate. —KG, GMA News
