Royina Garma to testify at ICC trial of Rodrigo Duterte, says Trillanes

Former Police Colonel Royina Garma will testify as a witness at the trial of former President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to a report on "24 Oras," former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said he received the information as his team was the first to raise the topic of extra-judicial killings in the Philippines before the ICC.

While it is still unclear what Garma’s testimony will cover, she told a committee of the House of Representatives about the implementation nationwide of the “Davao Model,” a system of rewards for killing suspected drug personalities. 

Trillanes shared that other than Garma, alleged hitmen like Edgar Matobato and Arturo Lascañas are also testifying before the ICC. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/NB, GMA News
