PDEA still has no final result in probe into 'Sammy Uy'
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said it has yet to reach a final result in its ongoing investigation into a certain “Sammy Uy,” despite the probe having been underway for years.
“Wala pa po. Hindi pa po final po,” PDEA spokesperson Atty. Joseph Frederick Calulut told Super Radyo dzBB in an interview when asked about the results of their probe into Uy.
(Nothing yet. Not final yet.)
“We are still conducting [an] investigation nga po kung may involvement si Mr. Sammy Uy, considering na yan very common naman yung pangalan ng taong ito. It is a known fact also na maraming mga foreign nationals or let us say Filipino-Chinese na magkakaparehas ang pangalan. So yung mga iba baka gumagamit din ng ibang pangalan,” he added.

On April 22, former senator Antonio Trillanes IV alleged that Vice President Sara Duterte and the immediate members of her family received P181 million from Uy.
Trillanes also alleged that Uy is a drug lord.
The ex-senator made the statement during the House justice panel impeachment hearing deliberations on whether there is probable cause to impeach the Vice President.
According to Calulut, the PDEA has been investigating Uy following reports on his alleged involvement in illegal drug trade years ago.
Also under investigation were “Michael Yang” and “Peter Lim,” according to Calulut. — RSJ, GMA News
