BSP chief Remolona still highest-paid gov't official in 2025 - COA
Eli Remolona, governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), is still the highest-paid non-elected government official last year, according to the Commission on Audit’s (COA) Report on Salaries and Allowances (ROSA) for 2025.
The same report showed that officials of the BSP – 15 including Remolona – dominated the top 20 highest-paid government officials.
For 2025, Remolona received salaries and allowances amounting to P52,756,463.72. This was P4.787 million higher than the P47,968,744.27 earnings that he received in 2024.

Capule, Villa, Ravalo, De Leon, and Diokno posted higher earnings and ranked higher in the 2025 ROSA, compared to the 2024 report.
Meanwhile, Bernardo dropped from 5th place to 6th place even if his earnings went up by around P4 million.

19. BSP Assistant Governor Arifa Alauya Ala: P14,648,690.88
20. BSP Deputy Governor Lyn Ibardolasa Javier: P14,590,294.12
Tangonan, Romulo-Puyat, Guevarra, De Jesus, and Gesmundo also rose from their previous ranks in the 2024 ROSA.
Abenoja, Veloso, Villanueva, Ala, and Javier made it into this year’s 20 highest-paid government officials.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court Associate Justice Ramon Hernando – who previously ranked 12th in the 2024 ROSA – dropped to 22nd place.
PAGCOR Chairperson Alejandro Tengco – who previously ranked at 13th place – fell to 39th place in 2025.
Meanwhile, Guevarra is no longer in government service after he submitted his courtesy resignation as ordered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last year. — JMA, GMA News
