Bail set at P120K each for PGMN founder Franco Mabanta, 4 others —sources
Peanut Gallery Media Network founder Franco Mabanta and four others are expected to post bail of 120,000 each after the alleged extortion try on former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
According to a "24 Oras" report by John Consulta on Friday, Mabanta and four others were placed in separate cells where they spent the night at the NBI detention facility in Muntinlupa.
Attorney Bernice Piñol Rodriguez, Mabanta's legal counsel, said they have a team at Pasig - RTC working for Mabanta's bail.
However, she did not answer further questions.
According to two sources of GMA News, Mabanta and companions’ bail was set at P120,000 each for the robbery extortion case in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act, in connection with the alleged extortion of Romualdez.
Earlier, GMA News also obtained a copy of the subpoena for CJ Hirro, anchor of Peanut Gallery Media Network, in connection with the ongoing investigation.
However, the NBI failed to send it to Hirro at her known addresses and at the PGMN office.—LDF, GMA News
