PAGCOR remits P5.67B dividends to Treasury

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) on Wednesday said it has remitted P5.67 billion in dividends to the Bureau of the Treasury.

In a news release, PAGCOR said its remittance represents 50% of the state-run gaming firm’s net earnings in 2025 in compliance with Republic Act No. 7656 or the Dividends Law.

RA 7656 requires government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) to remit at least half of their annual net earnings to the national government.

PAGCOR said its latest remittance brought the state gaming firms total dividends to the national government to P29.9 billion from 2022 onwards.

“Even amid challenges, PAGCOR will honor its commitment to contribute meaningfully to government programs that uplift the lives of Filipinos,” said PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco.

The state gaming firm said its dividend check was formally received by Deputy National Treasurer Kenneth Ian Francisco during a ceremonial turnover at PAGCOR’s corporate office in Pasay City.

“PAGCOR’s P5.67 billion dividend remittance makes available much-needed fiscal resources that will enable the national government to mitigate the effects of the global oil crisis and pursue programs geared toward meaningful economic and social transformation,” Francisco said. — JMA, GMA News
