Leandro Leviste writes Erwin Tulfo, offers help in flood control inquiry
Batangas First District Rep. Leandro Leviste on Monday wrote to Senator Erwin Tulfo, chairperson of the Gatchalian-led Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, to provide information and assist in the legislative inquiry on the anomalous flood control projects.
Leviste transmitted a letter dated June 5, 2026 to Tulfo's Office, saying he has information that may be presented in the flood control probe.
"I would like to present information relevant to this at your earliest convenience. I would appreciate being informed by your office if this may be possible," the letter reads.
"I remain available to assist in any investigation on flood control projects and other projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)," it said.
According to the House lawmaker, he initially asked his mother, Senator Loren Legarda, for Tulfo's contact details but she refused. Legarda belongs to the bloc led by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.
"In full disclosure, I have been asking my mother to share with me your contact details, but she has not, so I am sending this to your email address from the official Senate website," Leviste said.
The Senate panel led by Tulfo earlier held a consultative meeting in relation to the flood control probe. —LDF, GMA News
