Marcos wishes Trump 'continued success' on his 80th birthday

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday extended birthday greetings to United States (US) President Donald Trump, wishing him continued success this year.

“Happy Birthday, President Trump. On behalf of the Filipino people, I wish you good health, happiness and continued success in the year ahead,” Marcos said in a Facebook post.

The Philippine President also recognized how Trump’s leadership affects the US at a crucial time.

“Your leadership continues to shape the direction of the United States at a consequential moment in its history, while influencing developments and discussions on many of the most pressing issues facing the international community today,” Marcos said.

He also expressed hope that the enduring friendship between the Philippines and the United States “will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.”
