Bong Go denies violating laws amid alleged ICC arrest warrant
Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go on Thursday maintained he did not violate any laws as he addressed the alleged arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him.
Go said he is entrusting the matter to God, adding he would pray for the issue not to nbe politicized.
"Ipinagpapasa Diyos ko na lamang po ang lahat. Buong buhay ko, wala po akong nilabag na anumang batas ng tao o batas ng Diyos," the senator said in a statement.
(I am entrusting this to God. I did not violate any laws of Man or God all my life.)
"Police matters have never been part of my mandate. I hope and pray na hindi mapupulitika ang issue hinggil sa sinasabing ICC warrant daw laban sa akin," he said.

Davao City lawmaker Paolo “Pulong” Duterte earlier alleged that arrest warrants from the ICC have been issued against Go and two former police officers.
In May, former senator Sonny Trillanes claimed that he received information that an arrest warrant awaits Go, tagging him as a co-conspirator of former president Rodrigo Duterte for cases of crimes against humanity, murder, and attempted murder.
The Department of Justice (DOJ), however, said it has not received any official communication from the ICC on the alleged arrest warrant.
Other government agencies such as the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Philippine National Police, and the National Bureau of Investigation have also denied Duterte’s claims.
"Umasa po kayo na patuloy lang ako sa aking pagseserbisyo, dahil 'yan ang kailangan ngayon ng ating kapwa Pilipino," Go said.
(Filipinos can expect that my service will continue since this is what our countrymen need right now.)
"Hindi ko sasayangin ang tiwalang ibinigay sa akin ng 27 milyong Pilipino," he added.
