First Lady Liza delivers Father's Day tribute to Marcos via executive order form
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Sunday elevated her Father’s Day greeting to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. through an “Official Presidential Father’s Day Executive Order.”
In her social media post, the First Lady said as a father, Marcos should “rest today” and have “no stressful meetings.”
“The President tirelessly attends to the affairs of the nation while also fulfilling the responsibilities of fatherhood; therefore, a period of well-deserved rest shall be observed on Father’s Day,” the First Lady said.
“Father’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to family, gratitude, and quality time with loved ones; therefore, all non-essential meetings and stressful discussions shall be deferred for the day,” she added.
The First Lady further said that a “dessert is a must,” since “every celebration worthy of the Office of the President deserves a sweet ending.”
The "executive order" was signed by the First Lady and their sons Sandro, Simon, and Vincent.
In response, Marcos posted a photo of the framed "executive order" on Facebook and wrote: "This is my Father's Day gift from my family. I proclaim it to be applicable to all busy Dads out there! Happy Father's Day".
