Filipino bishops launch new website aimed to strengthen evangelization
A revised website wherein readers can peruse Church documents, resources and information on the activities and pronouncements of leaders and dioceses was launched during a gathering of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, the CBCP News reported.
CBCP President and Lipa Archbishop Gilbert Garcera made the announcement during the 132nd plenary assembly in Ozamis on Wednesday.
The cbcp.ph, Garcera said, is part of the conference’s "broader effort to strengthen evangelization through more effective communication" as it aims to contain official statements, pastoral letters, news, diocesan information and resources from CBCP commissions.
"The redesigned platform highlights the latest statements from the bishops, upcoming Church events and national initiatives while offering direct access to conference commissions, diocesan profiles, bishops’ directories and official Church documents," according to the report.
The site, which is accessible in desk tops and mobile devices, will provide visitors with liturgical resources, pastoral materials and searchable directories that aims to help clergy, journalists and lay faithful find the information they need. — BAP, GMA News
