PCG: Over 500 people stranded in ports on July 10, 2026 due to Typhoon Inday

A total of 543 people were stranded in 50 ports Friday morning due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Inday, the Philippine Coast Guard said.

The PCG said that from 12 midnight to 4 a.m., among those affected were passengers, truck drivers, and cargo helpers.

Also stranded were 205 rolling cargoes, nine vessels, and 30 motorbancas, while 158 vessels and 138 motorbancas took shelter.

The PCG said 280 passengers and 23 rolling cargoes were stranded while 111 vessels and 118 motorbancas were taking shelter in Southern Tagalog.

The affected ports were:

  • Real Port
  • Jomalig Port
  • Dinahican Port
  • Panukulan Port
  • Port of Lucena
  • Port of Alabat
  • Roxas Port
  • Pola Port
  • Pola Port
  • Romblom Port
  • San Agustin Port
  • Looc Port
  • Batangas Port
  • Bauan Port
  • Balayan Port
  • Tingloy Port
  • Lemery Port
  • Anilao Port
  • Balanacan Port

In North Western Luzon, 19 vessels took shelter.

The affected ports were:

  • Vicinity of Agoo
  • Lingayen Gulf
  • Vicinity of Sual
  • Magsaysay Port
  • Port of Salomague
  • PPA Port Onri Port
  • Port of Pasuquin
  • Port of Laoag

In Southern Visayas, one vessel took shelter in the vicinity of Maria.

Meanwhile, 95 passengers, 103 rolling cargoes, seven vessels, and 30 motorbancas were stranded in Central Visayas. A total of 20 vessels and 17 motorbancas took shelter.

  • Mainit Port
  • Taloot Port
  • Talibon Port
  • Ubay Port
  • Jagna Port
  • Popo Port
  • Mabini Port
  • Cogtong Bay
  • Tapal Port
  • Pilar Port
  • Hagutapay Port
  • Poro Port

In Western Visayas, 87 passengers, 61 rolling cargoes, and one vessel were stranded while one vessel and two motorbancas took shelter.

The affected ports were:

  • Caticlan Jetty Port
  • Port Parola
  • Iloilo City Fast Craft Terminal
  • Cop Lapuz

A total of 81 passengers, 18 rolling cargoes, and one vessel were stranded while six vessels and one motorbanca took shelter.

Affected were:

  • Pasacao Port
  • Cataingan Port
  • Mintac Port
  • Aroroy Port
  • San Pascual Port
  • San Jacinto Port
  • Lagundi Port
