Sara Duterte out of the country from July 16 to 31, 2026 -OVP

Vice President Sara Duterte has left the Philippines for a trip abroad from July 16 to 31, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) said Tuesday.

According to the OVP, Duterte is scheduled to visit Qatar, the United Kingdom (UK), and the Netherlands.

“These activities are intended to engage with overseas Filipinos and advance the Philippines’ interests abroad,” the OVP said.

“The itinerary includes both official foreign travel and personal engagements. No government funds will be used by the Vice President for the entire duration of the trip,” it added.

Lawyer Michael Poa, spokesperson and defense counsel, earlier said Duterte is currently at The Hague but “will be back soon”.

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro confirmed that a travel authority has been issued to Duterte for her personal trip to Qatar, Germany, the UK, Northern Ireland, and the Netherlands.

“The OVP remains fully prepared and operational with its disaster response mechanisms in place in times of emergencies. It will likewise continue the implementation of its programs and projects, carried out through its ten satellite offices nationwide,” the OVP added. —AOL, GMA News
