DSWD: Over 4.4 million households receive UPLIFT cash aid in July 2026
More than 4.4 million households have received their P2,000 cash aid in July under the government’s expanded United Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Monday.
“As of this morning, nasa 4.4 million na mga households na po ang nakatanggap ng P2,000 UPLIFT assistance,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumalao said on Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon.
(As of this morning, around 4.4 million households have already received the P2,000 UPLIFT assistance.)
The beneficiaries of the expanded UPLIFT assistance are classified into three groups.
Group 1 refers to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program members who will receive a one-time monetary assistance.
According to Dumlao, over 2.8 million 4Ps beneficiary households received their cash assistance last week via existing cash cards, alongside more than 214,000 households under the Walang Gutom Program.
Group 2 beneficiaries refer to “near-poor” households that are not 4Ps members—their income is just slightly above or 25% above the poverty line.
As of the morning of August 3, over 417,000 households have received their cash aid, according to Dumalao.
Group 3 beneficiaries are SSS members whose monthly salary credit is P20,000 and below, and who have contributed at least once in 2025.
Dumlao said around 978,000 households in Group 3 have received their July UPLIFT cash aid.
Groups 2 and 3 beneficiaries are set to receive P2,000 in the next six months, or until December 2026.
“Dahil itong UPLIFT assistance ay targeted, meaning tukoy na po natin kung sino 'yung makakatanggap ng tulong… hindi na po kinakailangan na mag-apply o magtungo sa isang opisina,” Dumlao explained.
(Because this UPLIFT assistance is targeted—meaning the beneficiaries have already been identified—there is no need to apply or go to an office.)
“Kung kayo ay 4Ps beneficiary, kung kayo ay Walang Gutom Program beneficiary, kayo po ay makakatanggap ng mensahe informing you na na-credit na po o na-top up na… if Walang Gutom [Program] beneficiary, you will be informed as well kasi ang inyong UPLIFT assistance ay matatanggap kapag nagsagawa na ng redemption period for Walang Gutom Program,” she added.
(If you are a 4Ps or Walang Gutom Program beneficiary, you will receive a message informing you that the amount has been credited or topped up. If you are a Walang Gutom Program beneficiary, you will also be notified, as you will receive your UPLIFT assistance once the program’s redemption period begins.)
Dumlao said Group 2 beneficiaries will be notified by their respective local government units, and succeeding payouts will be credited to their preferred banks or e-wallets. Meanwhile, Group 3 beneficiaries will receive notifications via email, with their cash aid directly deposited into their SSS disbursement accounts.
Last July, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. announced that the DSWD has expanded its UPLIFT program to extend financial assistance to indigent Filipinos affected by rising fuel prices due to the Middle East conflict. —AOL, GMA News
