JBC releases list of deputy ombudsman applicants; asks public for comments

The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) on Tuesday released the list of applicants for the position of Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon.

According to the JBC, the applicants include Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Anna Liza Logan, officials of the Department of Justice, and trial court judges.

The applicants are the following:

• Balucio, Richard Bala
• Beloso, Paul Albania
• Cardino, Cathy Diaz
• Chan, Dennis Arvin Lim
• Dellosa, Joeven Diaz
• Felizmenio, Francisco Padilla
• Hipolito, Rafael Godinez
• Logan, Anna Liza Gonzalez
• Medrano, Ryan Pajares
• Mendoza, Dennis Agustin
• Palattao, Rodolfo John Robert Castillo, IV
• Ravanera, Ilya Kristine Rivera
• Rodenas, Jason Genova
• Tamolang, Teofilo Gala Valera Jr.
• Ty, Nicholas Felix Lopez

They will replace Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon Cornelio Somido.

“The public is encouraged to share their thoughts, concerns, or comments about the applicants,” the JBC said in a statement.
