WALANG PASOK: Class suspensions for Monday, August 24, 2026

Local government units in parts of Northern and Central Luzon have announced the suspension of in-person classes and government work on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, due to prevailing weather conditions and a local civic observance.

Based on local announcements, the suspensions cover the following areas:

• Abra (province-wide): Face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools, as well as government work, are suspended. Schools are instructed to shift to Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM).
• Atok, Benguet: Face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school in public and private schools are suspended. Affected schools will shift to alternative learning modalities.
• Magalang, Pampanga: In-person classes and government work in both public and private sectors are suspended in observance of the Feast of San Bartolome.

Local authorities advised affected students, teachers and government personnel to coordinate with their respective schools and offices for further updates on distance learning and remote work arrangements.— MCG, GMA News
