An elderly couple and their four-year-old grandchild have been shot and killed inside their home in Indang, Cavite.

According to Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," two suspects have been taken into custody.

The suspects were seen entering the victims' hut and gunshots were heard.

The grandfather sustained five gunshot wounds while the grandmother suffered three.

The grandchild had two gunshot wounds.

Police arrested one of the suspects after a witness identified him. The second suspect surrendered. Both of them were farmers, like the grandfather.

“They knew each other actually, sir, they had an initial heated argument a month ago,” Police Major Ian Jasper Makimot Montoya said in a mix of English and Filipino.

The suspects have undergone inquest proceedings for three counts of murder.

Both of the suspects declined to speak to GMA News.

Relatives of the victims were resolute in filing a case.

“Walang halaga sa amin ang pera, kahit ilang milyon po ang itutumbas di po namin tatanggapin. Habang-buhay po talaga silang makukulong,” the relative said.
