Free NLEX toll from Pulilan to San Fernando, vice versa amid heavy traffic due to floods

All vehicles traveling between Pulilan, Bulacan and San Fernando, Pampanga can now pass toll-free in both directions, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Wednesday.

In an update, the DOTr said the measure took effect on Wednesday, September 2.

The government is addressing traffic congestion along NLEX caused by flooding at the Tulaoc Bridge in San Simon, Pampanga.

DOTr Secretary Giovanni Lopez coordinated with NLEX Corporation President Luis Reñon to secure the toll-free passage for motorists affected by the traffic situation.

The agency did not immediately provide an end date for the toll-free arrangement. — Joviland Rita/RSJ, GMA News
