Partial, unofficial results: Who are the leading candidates in BARMM polls
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) held its first parliamentary election on Monday, with 2.393 million registered voters.
The historic election will determine the members of the 80-seat Bangsamoro Parliament, which is composed of 40 party representatives, 32 district representatives, and eight sectoral representatives.
Based on the partial and unofficial results as of 3:59 p.m., the following registered political parties (RPPPs) have so far qualified for seats in the Bangsamoro Parliament.
Based on their latest vote counts, they are projected to get the following number of seats:
- Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) – 660,875 votes (35.1%) – 15 seats
- United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) – 609,705 votes (32.4%) – 14 seats
- BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC) – 386,589 votes (20.6%) – 8 seats
- Raayat Democratic Party-Bangsamoro People's Democratic Party – 67,826 votes (3.6%) – 1 seat
The four parties account for 38 of the 40 party-representation seats. BFP and UBJP are each expected to get one additional seat.
In the same partial and unofficial election results, here are the leading candidates for the sectoral seats:
Settler communities (2 seats):
- OLAYA, YUL ADELFO (UBJP) – 747,214 votes
- MANGUDADATU, SULTAN PAX (BGC) – 433,337 votes
Women (1 seat):
- SILONGAN, AIDA (UBJP) – 722,964 votes
Youth (1 seat):
- ABBAS, SULFFY (UBJP) – 647,399 votes
Ulama (1 seat):
- EBIL, MUHAMMAD NADZIR (UBJP) – 675,148 votes
Traditional leaders (1 seat):
- MACASALONG, MARJANIE (UBJP) – 712,547 votes
The non-Moro Indigenous Peoples selected their two representatives to the Bangsamoro Parliament in August.
They are Jo Genna Jover of the Teduray Indigenous Peoples and Leticio Datuwata of the Lambangian Indigenous Peoples.
Here are the winning candidates in the following parliamentary districts in Maguindanao del Sur:
- Tawakal Midtimbang (UBJP) – 1st District
- Saad Sindatok (UBJP) – 2nd District
- Ali Sangki (ITIHAD) – 3rd District
- DJ Parok Mangudadatu (BFP) – 4th District
- Rafsanjani Ali (BFP) – 5th District
Here are the winning candidates in the following parliamentary districts in the Special Geographic Area (SGA):
- Mansor Ebrahim (UBJP) – 1st District
- Elaysa Enalang (UBJP) – 2nd District
On Tuesday afternoon, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed the following winning candidates for parliamentary district representatives in Maguindanao del Norte:
- Prince Khalid Tomawis (BFP) – 1st District
- Doc Ibrahim Ibay (BFP) – 2nd District
- Abdulraof Macacua (Independent) – 3rd District
- Abas Abdulnasser (UBJP) – 4th District
- Atty. Cocoy Mastura (BFP) – 5th District
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said nine election returns still needed to be transmitted in Cotabato City.
