Bacolod tops realty tax collection in Western Visayas

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines - The city posted the highest real property tax collection in Western Visayas. The city also ranked second for economic enterprise in the local government unit category, said acting city treasurer Annabele Badajos. Bacolod collected P252.7 million in real property taxes and P11.5 million in economic enterprise last year, Ms. Badajos said. Goldwyn Nifras, secretary to the mayor, said the city performed better than other local government units in the region. Iloilo City ranked second in the collection of real property tax for local government with a total collection of P339.78 million.
