MANILA, Philippines - Two security guards were injured after two grenades were thrown at an electric substation in Maasim town in Sarangani province Friday night, a radio report said on Saturday. Bombo Radyo General Santos City reported power supply to areas serviced by the substation was not affected by the explosion of the grenades. Maasim police chief Sr. Insp. Joefel Remodaro said shrapnel from the grenades hit an electric transformer but said it did not effect power supply. He identified the two injured security guards as Carlos Calderon and Rey Sambrona. Police are looking into the link between the incident and another attack on the provincial jail in Alabel town in Sarangani last Wednesday. - GMANews.TV
