MANILA, Philippines - Two teenagers linked to the kidnapping of ABS-CBN anchor Ces Drilon, her crew and a professor were arrested at a Marine checkpoint Friday in Patikul, Sulu, the military said Sunday. The suspects were Nadzmir Amirul a.k.a. Abu Kudama, 18, of Timpook, Patikul, Sulu, and a 14-year-old boy. Drilon, her crewmen Jimmy Encarnacion, Angelo Valderama and Professor Octavio Dinampo were kidnapped by suspected Abu Sayyaf militants on June 8. On June 12, the kidnappers freed Valderama. Drilon, Encarnacion and Dinampo were released five days later reportedly after paying ransom. Navy spokesman Edgardo Arevalo said Marines from the 5th battalion manning a checkpoint in Buhanginan village stopped the two who were riding a motorcycle. The two were arrested following positive identification by intelligence agents who claimed that one of the seized suspects is the teenager clad in camouflage uniform and wearing an inverted cap. The suspect was seen in a clandestine footage taken by Drilon’s cameraman while they were in captivity. The two suspects are under the custody of Task Force Drilon. - GMANews.TV
