P96-M district hospital opens in Escalante City

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines - The P96-million Don Vicente Gustilo District Hospital (DVGDH) in Escalante City was inaugurated Friday. Construction of DVGDH began in 2004 during the time of the late Governor Joseph Marañon and then Vice Governor Isidro Zayco. Dr. Josephus Jubal, chief of the hospital, claimed that the health facility is reputed to be one of the best in the country in terms of design and size. It also has the best expanded and intensive health care deliveries.
